They say to make lemonade. There was an episode of News Radio from years back when the Great Phil Hartman's character said to make lemonade and throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they gave you the oranges you wanted in the first place. Not a bad plan, but not always practical. Sometimes you need to make your oranges, too.
I have been disappointed in where I am with my career. Seems despite my efforts to change my situation to one better suited to my teaching style and personality, it just hasn't happened. Over the summer I started prepping tips and tutorials to support my colleagues in a role I was sure I would get, only to find it went to another person. So, I'm going to offer them on my blog. I still have much to offer and those who appreciate it or find it useful in some small way will find me one way or another.
